1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website asks your browser to store. They let the site remember things between pages, or between visits, such as whether you have already made a choice about cookies.
We also use your browser's local storage for one thing. This works in a similar way to a cookie but the information is never sent to our server, so it is not technically a cookie. We record your cookie choices there — see the cookies we use below.
Cookies set by us are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by companies whose services we use, such as Google or Meta, are called third-party cookies.
2. Your choices
When you first visit the site, a banner asks whether you want to accept, reject or customise cookies. There are three categories:
- Strictly necessary — needed for the website to work, including remembering your cookie choices. These are always active and cannot be switched off, because the site cannot function without them.
- Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are viewed.
- Advertising — used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising.
The analytics and advertising options start switched off and stay off until you actively turn them on. Rejecting them does not restrict any part of the website.
3. The cookies we use

The Google Tag Manager cookies are listed as strictly necessary because they are what loads and coordinates the tags on this website. They do not themselves collect information about your browsing; the analytics and advertising tags they may load only run with your consent.
4. Analytics and advertising
If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are popular and where visitors run into difficulty. If you accept advertising, we use the Meta Pixel to measure how well our advertising performs.
We never send your personal details to these providers. Your name, email address, phone number, address, postcode and the contents of your flooring enquiry are not passed to Google or Meta. They stay in the enquiry email that reaches us.
This website uses Google Consent Mode v2. Before you make a choice, analytics and advertising storage are set to “denied”, so these tags do not run. When you make a choice, that setting is updated to match it.
We do not use a third-party cookie consent platform. The banner you see is our own, and it controls these tags directly.
5. How to change your mind
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time. Use the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of any page, which reopens the banner so you can switch the analytics and advertising categories on or off.
Your choices are remembered in this browser for up to 6 months. If you clear your browser storage, or use a different browser or device, we will ask you again.
Turning a category off stops those tags from running on your next page load. It does not automatically delete cookies that were already set while it was on. To remove those, clear cookies and site data for this website in your browser settings.
You can also block or delete cookies for all websites through your browser settings. If you do that, some parts of this website may not work as intended.
